The mission of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is:

To evolve as an innovative and globally competent electrical & electronics department that contributes to the socio-economic growth of India by utilizing the advancement in Electrical & Electronics Engineeringby providing conducive learning and interactive environment to students and faculty.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) 

The graduates of Electrical and Electronics Engineering will:

  1. Possess strong educational foundation in science, mathematics and Electrical & Electronics Engineering that is essential to pursue successful careers / higher studies, be ready for modern electrical power and energy Industry through global,rigorous education and or pursue higher studies.
  2. Possess technical competence in the fields of Electrical and electronics engineering and will be successful in develop solutions to the problems that are technically sound and environment friendly.
  3. Utilize their broad based knowledge, skills and resourcesto design, invent  anddevelop novel technology and find creative and innovative solutions to engineering problems in a multidisciplinary work environment.
  4.  Be professionals with leadership qualities, effective communication skills, ethical attitude and competence to excel individually and work efficiently in teams.
  5.  Possess attitude to learn and adopt new technologies as it evolves and be lifelong learner

Program Outcome (PO)

The students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department will be able:

1.Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, Electrical & Electronics engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.


2.Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and Electrical & Electronics engineering sciences.


3.  Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex Electrical & Electronics engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.


4.Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions in the field of Electrical & Electronics Engineering.


5.   Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex Electrical & Electronics engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.


6.   The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional Electrical & Electronics engineering practice.


7.  Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional Electrical & Electronics engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

The students will be able to:

1.     Apply principles of probability and statistics, including applications appropriate to the Electrical & Electronics Engineering discipline;

2.     Apply science, engineering, mathematics through differential and integral calculus; to solve complex EE engineering problems.

3.      Apply advanced mathematics, such as linear algebra, complex variables, and discrete mathematics relevant for his professional career.

4.       Demonstrate proficiency in use of software and hardware to required to practice E&E profession.



Short Term Goals:

To fufill all the Predefined, PEO’S , PO’S and PSO’S through strong Determination and dedication.

  • To keep faculty members abreast with the latest trends and developments in Research, Technology and Teaching methodologies especially through interaction, by sending them to other premier Institutions for research and by conducting IIT, AICTE-ISTE sponsored STTPs in our own College.
  • To motivate the faculty to remain exposed to the Industrial processes & activities.
  • At least 60% of the students should graduate with Distinction/Honors in the branch.
  • To arrange Special classes for academically poor students of weaker background for improving their educational status.
  • All information's concerning students/ staff to be made available On-line.
  • To go for the energy auditing of the whole campus.
  • Continue the development of Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree programs using the continuous quality improvement process.
  • Emphasize on Research activities.
  • Enrich student learning through short term training and dual certification programs through educational Institutes /    industries inside the country and beyond.
  • Develop and implement executive training and continuing education opportunities to meet the community demands throughout the region.
  • Develop and implement a industry-interaction plan.


Long Term Goal’s:

  • To establish a research and development center to enhance research and training facilities for the students, staff.
  • To strengthen Industry – Institute interaction by undertaking applied research / development oriented projects by students and faculty members
  • To add Post graduate and Doctorate programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
